My name is Keera Hill, I am 20 years old and I need a liver transplant.
I have Crohns Disease, ISTC, Arthritis, Hypermobility and I was recently diagnosed with PSC
This is a slow progressing liver disease which is leading to my liver failing. I need a liver transplant and if I do not get one, I will not survive.
Around 100 people die EVERY year while waiting on the transplant list for a suitable liver. Even more die waiting for other organs. There are currently more than 10,500 people needing an organ transplant in the UK.
There are not enough donors.
I am writing this to appeal for you to please sign up to be an organ donor. If you are already then you should be so proud of yourself and know that you could save someones life. It really is that big.
In the UK between 1 April 2010 – 31 March 2011, 1,008 lives were saved through a liver, heart, lung or a combined transplant.
Let’s make it more this year, one of the lives saved could be mine.
